We praise and thank God for allowing us to be here in his service.
We are indeed happy to report that the Detroit West District is engaged in the Lord's work - making disciples.
We have made contact with the men at Dearborn First United Methodist Church regarding the District men's organization, and have been assured that we will be contacted within a few weeks about chartering a new UMM group.
On Saturday, June 14, 2008, at 9:00 a.m., our District Men's Annual Breakfast will be at Good Shepherd UMC in Dearborn, Michigan. A donation of ten dollars per person ($10.00) will be welcome to defray the cost. Please join us. Everyone is welcome including spouses or 'significant others'. We have an administrative law judge, Roberta Amos, who will be our guest speaker.
Our next fund raiser will be on Sunday, September 14, 2008. Our Annual Concert will be at Dearborn First UMC at 4:00 p.m. We have an abundance of talent among our participants, so, we encourage those who are spiritually and musically inclined to be with us on that afternoon. There will be a free-will offering taken to support our men's ministry. Refreshments will be served. Please be with us so that you may be uplifted in mind, body and spirit.
